Originally released in June 1989. Written by Richard Marx. I used Apple LogicPro X to record the various tracks (piano, …).  The melody line on the tenor sax–as seen in the video–was played over the previously recorded accompaniment tracks. 

Still a great and recognizable ballad 😉
