Summertime

I really like the Ella Fitzgerald version of the George Gershwin classic (1934). Everyone from Billie Holiday to Willie Nelson has recorded this song 😉

When I Fall in Love

Even though Doris Day was the first to record this song (1952), it is Nat King Cole’s version in 1956 that is most recognized 😉

My One and Only Love

This song originated in 1947, but didn’t catch on. The lyrics were rewritten and Sinatra recorded it in 1953. It has been performed by many of the greats… including Coltrane in 1963 and Sonny Rollins in 1964.

Written by lyricist Howard Ashman and composer Alan Menken for the Disney animated feature film Beauty and the Beast (1991)  

Right Here Waiting

Originally released in June 1989. Written by Richard Marx. I used Apple LogicPro X to record the various tracks (piano, …).  The melody line on the tenor sax–as seen in the video–was played over the previously recorded accompaniment tracks.  Still a great and recognizable ballad 😉
